Join In Creating Health Clinic Partnerships
Towards the end of 2018, IHOPEE embarked on a medical mission in Kenya to provide the following health services:
- Health screening for hypertension, diabetes mellitus, typhoid, malaria, HIV, and breast and cervical cancer.
- Treatment of minor ailments
- Counselling both secular and pastoral at Mount Zion Church.
To help realize this, IHOPEE collaborated with local Kenyan healthcare professionals (doctors, nurses, laboratory technicians, pharmacists, students, counselors), volunteers from various walks of life and two pharmaceutical companies, Nila and Dawa in Nairobi who donated medicines (courtesy of Nancy Kamau). Fr Emmanuel, a group of volunteers from Kayole MtaSafi provided rehabilitation for youth.
Two nurses, Rose Oginga (CEO IHOPEE) from Florida, and Margaret Rayola from California, a nurse practitioner Dr. Pauline Kibisu from Texas, and Dr. Otieno Aduma from Delaware participated.
IHOPEE plans to continue raising funds and collaborating with other health experts with the primary goal of providing health and medical services to various communities across Kenya. Your donations and partnerships can help us go a long way.
